Position Summary:
The Data Analyst will serve as a key resource in shaping the strategic direction of Segadores de Vida through the power of data. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership, ministry teams, and staff to analyze data, develop reports, and provide actionable insights that drive growth, engagement, and operational efficiency. You will play a crucial role in supporting various ministries by ensuring accurate data collection and analysis, helping us make informed decisions that align with our church’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze data from multiple systems, including church attendance, donations, outreach programs, volunteer activities, and member engagement.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports for leadership, providing insights into key metrics such as attendance trends, giving patterns, and ministry participation.
- Strategic Support: Work closely with church leadership to use data in shaping our strategic direction, identifying opportunities for growth, and improving ministry effectiveness.
- Financial & Attendance Reporting: Support the financial and operational teams by streamlining data processes related to contributions, attendance, and special events.
- Visualization & Presentation: Present data insights through clear and visually compelling charts and reports that can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms, managing systems and tools to collect, store, and analyze information securely.
- Collaboration: Partner with ministry and administrative teams to identify and address their data needs, offering tailored reporting solutions that enhance their effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and refine data collection methods to enhance the church’s overall decision-making processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. A combination of education and equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Professional Experience: 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a nonprofit, church, or service-oriented environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Church Community Builder) is a plus.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting data in a clear and compelling manner to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Mission Alignment: A strong commitment to the mission and values of Segadores de Vida Church, with a passion for using data to support ministry goals.
- Ethics & Confidentiality: High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive church data, including financial and personal information.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish): Must be fully bilingual with the ability to fluently read, write, and speak both English and Spanish, as you will be collaborating with diverse teams and congregation members.
