The Twitter BibleThe Project initially named “And God Decided to Chill,” is a book written in Germany from Twitter compilations from 3,000 Christians that participated in a program introduced by a church the beginning of the year. In honor of a Pentecost festival, german Christians used the microblog service provided by Twitter to summarize 3,906 parts in the bible to 140 words. Though the project was programmed to take place from the 20th to the 30th of May, it broke a world record by being completed in 37 hours. Some of the tweets are amusing, like one that describes God’s rest after the creation saying, “Thank God it’s Sunday!!” It gives the same message but a different, modern version. |
