Roxette Vocalist reconciles with GodThe Singer Marie Fredrikson has publicly declared her faith and her new relationship with God after many years of indifference and lack of faith. “Hometown” is part of the album edited by her husband Mikael Bolyos, her first single “When the Lord Is About to come,” gave fame to her C.D. The ex-vocalist of Roxette began her relationship with God some time ago when she was near death. Everything began when the singer was diagnosed with a tumor in her brain after a fall in a home in September 2002. The tumor had to be removed. The news impacted in a great way the music industry and the fans of Roxette. Month’s later doctors discovered that it was a malignant tumor and that Marie had cancer in her brain. She was quickly submitted into the hospital and began a harsh and long treatment for the next 2 years. As Marie stated, “God remembered me and gave me a second chance.” Marie re-affirms her faith in “Hometown,” the song where Marie declares: “There is only one way to know and though many will not understand, we all need to return to our first home, our real home, that is God our Lord” “Only He was able to do the miracle that changed water to wine” in this song Marie also affirms this miracle that Jesus did when he rescued her from cancer and death. |
