OUR HISTORY... SEGADORES DE VIDA
BEGINNING
This phenomenon was born in 1992 with the name Señales de Vida (Signs of Life). Pastors Ruddy and Maria Gracia in obedience to God decide to meet in their small apartment in Miramar, Florida.
With the strategy of the home groups “H.E.C.H.O.S.” (Hispanics in Every Home Offering Salvation), this vision grew quickly, invading all the cities of South Florida and extending itself to surprising distances.
Follow up with new members is done with personal contact through continuous communication through telephone and visits, offering not only salvation of their souls but also a powerful formation as Christians so that they can also develop into group leaders.
Like a great family, the church Segadores de Vida meets in 3 weekly celebration services where the majestic presence of God imparts miracles, liberation and healing in a powerful time of ministering that no one wants to miss.
PRESENT TIME
By the grace of God, Christian Church Segadores de Vida (Harvesters of Life) is one of the largest and most influential churches in South Florida. Currently they count on more than 6,000 members and have a continuous growth thanks to the character and responsibility each member works with in the home groups.
Fruit of arduous work from home to home, the church Segadores de Vida, was recently recognized in Outreach magazine (www.outreach.com) as the fasters growing church in the United States for the year 2007.
To achieve the global outreach projected, Segadores de Vida counts on diverse means of massive communication such as their television production team SegaVizión, a virtual radio station, Segaradio, and a calling center that operates 7 days a week and receives more than 2,000 calls.
They also have their website, www.segadores.com, and television program “H.E.C.H.O.S.,” broadcasted in more than 10 satellite stations reaching 82 million people in North America, Europe, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
As part of the strategy of outreach, they hold yearly celebration events that bring together thousands of people, events like Redoma, Segafest and Joyfest.
Enthusiasm and the passion to win souls are the best known characteristics among the “Segadores.” They have chosen to share this vision of service and day to day new challenges arise that are confronted with joy no matter what with the purpose of remaining focused on the mission of sharing by grace what by grace they have been given.
Segadores de Vida has a structured organization that works well with modern times. Within the areas of service is their bookstore Semillas de Vida (Seeds of Life), where they offer the impacting messages of Pastor Ruddy Gracia, distributed immediately after each celebration service. Also available are diverse Christian products such as books, music and diverse children’s products.
